Montréal has quite a past!

Come and discover the city’s lively, dramatic history in fourteen museums that are sure to whet your curiosity. Each of them takes its own distinct approach to Montréal and its story, presenting exhibitions, special themes, programs and entertaining, dynamic activities. Take your pick… you’ll never seen the city the same way again.

Thirty-five museums and organizations are taking part in Montréal, City of History, an exceptional event that brings them together for the first time to present a special program of activities highlighting Montréal history. A wonderful way to mark the 370th anniversary of the founding of Montréal, and the 400th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Paul de Chomedey, sieur de Maisonneuve.
